After Awhile

Its amazing to read back over my writing and see how much I've changed. I'm less concerned with pleasing my readers and more concerned with a phrase (its one word, but the concept outweighs its depth in phonological terms) that I've been hearing over and over... directness People either like it or hate it. If they like it, then they are lovers of truth and light If they dont, then they are probably completely enslaved to the idea of pleasing everyone all the time with deception and manipulation and a false sense of continual ease that nobody feels ever. Its all just smoke and mirrors. Am I making any sense here? So directness, being honest, being forward, being real. It sucks, because nobody wants to feel like they are being judged or humiliated for their point of view But that is happening all the time anyways, isn't it? Well, Just a thought. M.

  1. Just a thought? Well, yes, in the sense that everything begins with a thought. But this isn't a simple or foolish thought, one to be glanced over and mentally discarded once the eyes have scanned over the final period. No. This is a simple, and yet complex; plain, and yet intricate. This thought demands pondering, meditation, contemplation, analyzing, examining. This is the kind of thought that should be allowed to reverberate on a loop through one's entire being while the physical being in question is in nature, perched on a rock near running water, the scent of pine needles and earth hanging in the air. Truth. Like a sharp sword, it pierces swiftly, but cleanly, cutting to the core of all that we truly are. Illimination. Only through the sword of Truth can we be lit up from the inside out, revelations and renewals from every physical and not so physical dimension of ourselves. As we are obedient to walking in Truth, the sword slices away the layers of this world, the trappings of this earth that we have allowed or been deceived into binding around ourselves. The sword, with eases, breaks the shackles of our blindness, our ignorance, our stubbornness, our sin. Thank you, dear one, for sharing your deep thought, for allowing me the opportunity to meditate on Truth anew.
